Taylor Swift who is an American singer/songwriter on Tuesday donated $1 million to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, The fund supports “affected communities and nonprofits helping victims address their ongoing needs,” according to the foundation’s website.
Taylor swift gained his fame at the age of 14 when she became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, nearly a year after, she signed her first record deal. Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US.
Swift, a long-time Nashville resident, shared her support for the affected Tennessee community on her Instagram stories Thursday, along with a link to the emergency fund so fans could donate as well.
Donations made to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund will go toward providing vital services both immediate and long term, including delivering vital services. More information can be found here.
